Sep 15, Nad Belkov rated it really liked it Shelves: This book is easy to read and informative, but I can’t say it was totally necessary as a required text for a philosophy class. It provides a nice overview of the field and is a great starting point in ethics research.
The book draws on examples from sociobiology and game theory in explaining the relationship between ethics and I gave this book 5 stars because it achieves what it sets ritht to achieve better than any other book that purports to do the same – provide an introduction to ethics. Refresh and try again.
Pojman’s book title is an intentional play on the title of ethicist J. He wrote in the areas of philosophy of religion, epistemology, ethics, and political philosophy and authored or edited more than 30 books and articles. Not only for the information conveyed to the reader, but for the high potential it has to spark numerous personal both inter- and intra-or classroom, discussion.
Then again it is an introductory text and this is just another point of discussion.

Etgics the text, the author instructs readers to think out solutions to problems by illustrating and presenting both or various sides of a theory and stresses the application of ethical theory as a necessity. He does an excellent job of presenting all of the major opinions on each subject, even when they differ from his own.
